Euro Millions syndicate

Basically this will be a syndicate that plays 36 lines on the Euro Millions lottery each week. I will personally play one line, any individual can play as many as they like and once I have enough people to play 36 lines each week I will set it up as follows.

The Euro Millions ticket is in two parts, you have to pick 5 numbers between 1 and 50 plus two “lucky stars” between 1 and 9.

I will ask each member of the syndicate to give me a number. We will then pick the 5 most popular numbers and these will form the first half of each of the 36 tickets. Then I will buy 36 tickets in a way that covers every possible combination of lucky stars (you need to buy 36 tickets to achieve this).

So for example, if we were playing numbers 3, 14, 22, 37 and 43, I would buy the following tickets on behalf of the syndicate:

If we win a prize, then we will split the money as you would expect, 36 ways.

Lotto Saturday Draw Syndicate

This one is along the same kind of theme, but is a little bit more complicated.

Basically this will be a syndicate that plays 28 lines on the Saturday National lottery (Lotto) each week. We are playing Saturday and not Wednesday because the jackpot is usually bigger on a Saturday. I will personally play one line, any individual can play as many as they like and once I have enough people to play 28 lines each week I will set it up as follows.

The Saturday ticket is the original National Lottery and as you probably know, you pick 6 different numbers between 1 and 49.

I will ask each member of the syndicate to give me a number. We will then pick the 8 most popular numbers.

Then I will buy 28 tickets in such a way that it is as if we are jointly playing one ticket containing all 8 numbers. So for instance, with a normal ticket, you win a prize of £10 if you match any 3 numbers. This will be the same for us, we will win a prize (in this case actually it would be £100) if we match any 3 numbers from our 8. But because we are playing 8 numbers we have a better chance of winning.

So for example, if we were playing numbers 1, 5, 13, 21, 33, 38, 42, and 48, I would buy the following tickets on behalf of the syndicate:
